Profile
Dr. Tatiana Moschovou is a Civil Engineer at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), holder of a PhD in Transportation. Today she is a Laboratory and Teaching Staff Member in the Department of Transport Planning and Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA. She teaches the courses of Transport Systems Planning, Combined Transport-Advanced Systems and Railway Engineering.
She has significant research work and experience in a wide range of subjects in the field of modelling analysis, planning and operation of transport systems and terminal facilities having participated in research activities in European and National Research Programs. Among them: ENIRISST: Intelligent Research Infrastructure for Shipping, Supply chain, Transport and Logistics, CREAM: Customer-driven rail-freight services on a European mega-corridor based on advanced business and operating models, ETISplus: European Transport policy Information System. Development and implementation of data collection methodology for EU transport modelling for land, sea and air modes and terminals, ETIS-AGENT: A transport information agent for accessing the different ETIS databases, F-MAN: Rail car asset management, EDIP: On-board radio-based control of multiple-locomotive freight trains for Trans-European operation, ITIP: Innovative technologies for intermodal transfer points, Assessment of freight market potential in the Thessaloniki-Pythio-Ormenio-Dikaia rail corridor as well as of the qualification of Alexandroupolis port for rail freight transport services, and others. The knowledge gained from her participation in such projects is transferred to the academic field, as shown by the reference of the relevant publications/presentations. She is the author/co-author of several studies published in international scientific journals and conference proceedings. She has also participated as a speaker and as a member of the scientific committees in conferences. In addition, she is an invited reviewer in peer review international journals in the fields of transportation planning and engineering, transport policy and multimodal transport.
